On the day of the session, the time, effort and patience required to pull it off isn't even quantifiable!!
Fine Art Portrait Photography is an investment no matter how you square it. Wouldn't you rather walk away with Gorgeous, Heirloom Prints, Wall Art and Albums  to show for it!?

I want you to have beautiful pieces to display in your home, products that will wow your guests and bring you joy each time you walk by them. Heirlooms to pass down to your children... it's your family's legacy and it's incredibly valuable.

All that's required to reserve a date on my shoot calendar is a signed portrait contract and a non-refundable Creative Fee. 
*there's an additional fee of  $25 per person for groups larger than 6 (a standard family size).


STEP 1: BOOKING

After booking, we'll schedule a Pre-Session Phone Consultation to plan for your portrait session including such details as Location, Timing, Wardrobe, Props & other logistical details!

step 2: the portrait experience

Your portrait proof gallery will be delivered within seven days of your session date! Then, you will choose either an Heirloom Print Collection OR you can order from the A La Carte product list within your online gallery.
You do not have to make any decisions until you see your proofs! Only buy what you absolutely LOVE!

step 3: DELIVERY

Then, we shoot it!

At Holy City Families we value family & try really hard to prioritize having a Healthy Work / Life Balance. We believe that it directly affects our attitude, energy, creativity and ultimately our success.
As such, we can only accept 10 families for Family Portrait Sessions each month
We encourage you to book you session as far in advance as possible to ensure availability for your family!

How far in advance should we book our session?

We can shoot your Family Portraits in and around downtown Charleston, Hampton Park, Charlestowne Landing, Magnolia Gardens, Cypress Gardens, at one of our beautiful County Parks, on Isle of Palms, Folly Beach, Kiawah Island or Seabrook Island. 
The possibilities are limitless! 
During your pre-session phone consultation, I will talk with you about the types of locations that interest you & help you to select a photo location that will be perfect for your family!

Where & When do we shoot?

The softest, most flattering light of the day happens in the 90 minutes after sunrise or in the 90 minutes before sunset. With that being said, we can shoot at any time of day, as long as you understand that the sunlight (looks) different at 1pm than it does at 6pm. If you want to shoot in the middle of the day, we’ll just need to get a little creative with locations, vantage point and posing! Downtown Charleston is a fantastic option for shooting in the middle of the day!

What time of day do we shoot?

I am frequently asked to photograph Extended Families vacationing in in Charleston and on our nearby beaches! I am happy to travel to your vacation rental or I can show you some of the most beautiful vistas that the lowcountry has to offer for your Family Portraits! There is an additional $25 per person creative fee assessed for groups larger than six
(a standard family size).

You’ll want to dress in a way that feels authentic. You’ll want to dress in a way that makes you feel comfortable and confident — like the very best version of you! During your pre-session phone consultation, we'll discuss wardrobe. I am happy to help you to put together your wardrobe for the session OR you can always borrow something from my client closet at the studio if you'd like!

Can we bring the dog?

Due to high demand and limited availability, Creative Fees are non-refundable for any reason.
In the event of illness, inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, we will simply re-schedule for the very next available date / time that works for both of us! 
If possible, we will shoot before or after any inclement weather.
